Polariscope is a research and development project created by the University of Aveiro in partnership with NOVA University Lisbon and the Aveiro City Council. The project aims to make an open, collaborative platform available for visualising and co-creating collective memories.
The platform seeks to bring citizens and institutions together to explore memories related to cultural heritage and significant events in an interactive way and from different perspectives. Examples include national milestones such as 25 April, traditional celebrations such as the Festas de São Gonçalinho, and natural and heritage routes, among others.
To this end, it offers tools that allow users to create thematicprojects, share content and collaborate with others to build stories.
